Executive Director

Mission Neptune

Ashok Adicéam serves as Executive Director of the United Nations Ocean Conference for France (Nice 2025), which mobilised the largest multilateral effort ever dedicated to the ocean. He is currently leading the mobilisation of USD 100 million in public–private funding (50% secured) for the Neptune Mission — a global exploration and conservation initiative designed to advance the implementation of the High Seas Treaty through marine protected areas and strengthened shared scientific capacity. A graduate in political science and international relations (M.A., École des Hautes Études, Paris), he has lived and worked across four continents — Africa, Asia, North America and Europe — over the past 25 years. He has held senior executive positions both as a French diplomat (in cultural and environmental diplomacy) and as director of private institutions and philanthropic organisations. Driven by a strong sense of mission, he specialises in institutional strategy, international positioning and high-level corporate engagement. Throughout his career, he has brought together multicultural teams, funders and partners around shared values and ambitious collective goals. He is deeply committed to advancing sustainable development through policy, multistakeholder collaboration and concrete action, working with political leaders, civil society, artists and businesses to help shape a better future for generations to come.
