Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy is a geomatics engineer specialized in sea ice remote sensing. She founded Türkiye’s first institutional polar research structure and led nine National Antarctic and five Arctic expeditions. She currently serves as Vice President of SCAR and Director of KARE, representing Türkiye in major international polar platforms.
