Narelle van der Wel is Head of the Cryosphere Monitoring, Predictions and Services Unit at the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). She has over a decade of experience advancing international climate research, including as a Scientific Officer at the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) Secretariat. She holds a PhD from the Scott Polar Research Institute, University of Cambridge.
